Private Fireworks & Sunset Charters
Sunset first. Then the fireworks. Just your crew.
Marissa Cruises is a private Mission Bay party boat, and on a SeaWorld show night it is the best seat in the city. We take your crew out for the sunset, hold position for the fireworks and the 600-drone display over the bay, and have you back at the dock by ten. You bring the drinks, the playlist, and your favorite people.
Bring your group. Bring your bottle. Bring the dog.
How a fireworks night runs
Sunset first, then the show.
The sunset
We push off before dark and run the bay while the sun drops. The sea lions are usually out on the buoys on the way.
The fireworks
On show nights we hold position out on the water for the SeaWorld fireworks and the 600-drone display over the bay.
Back by ten
The show lands around 9:45 and your window runs to 10, so you are off the water and back at the dock by ten.
Three hours is $1,800 for the whole boat, about $90 a head with a group of 20. A fireworks night adds a premium, and right now through July 31 that premium is $150 instead of $300, so a three-hour fireworks charter is $1,950. You bring the drinks, the playlist, and your favorite people. We bring the boat, the crew, and the spot on the water.
Marissa Cruises is 100% woman-owned, the JBL PartyBox is yours for the playlist, and 1% of every booking goes back to ocean conservation.

From the guests
We had an amazing time cruising around the bay, looking at seals, dancing, and celebrating in beautiful San Diego.

Good to know
Fireworks night questions.
When does SeaWorld run the fireworks?
SeaWorld runs its summer fireworks most nights from mid-June through mid-August, and the show starts around 9:45. We take you out for the sunset first, hold position for the show and the 600-drone display, and have you back at the dock by ten.
How much is a fireworks charter?
Three hours is $1,800 for the whole boat, and a fireworks night adds a premium. Right now through July 31 that premium is $150 instead of $300, so a three-hour fireworks charter is $1,950. Two hours runs $1,350 and four hours $2,550 on a fireworks night during the sale.
How many people fit on the boat?
The Marissa is Coast Guard rated for 22 passengers, and every charter is private, so the whole boat is your group and no one else. Tell us your headcount when you book and we will make room for everyone.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes. Marissa Cruises is BYOB. Bring your bottles, a cooler, and whatever you want to eat. There is an ice chest, cup holders, and a bathroom on board. Bring cans or plastic instead of glass, since glass and bare feet do not mix on a boat.
Can we bring our dog?
Dogs are welcome on every charter. Captain Lora’s beagles, Captain and Scout, ride along on most trips, so your dog will be in good company. A doggy life vest is a good idea for the water.
Where does the boat leave from?
We launch from Mission Bay Sportcenter at 1010 Santa Clara Place in San Diego, on Mission Bay rather than the downtown harbor. There is parking at the dock, and we send the exact meeting spot once your date is booked.
